Trump to be sentenced today on felony charges 10 days before his inauguration.

A New York judge has sentenced Donald Trump to an “unconditional discharge,” making him a "convicted felon" but imposing no further penalties. Trump, speaking from Florida, expressed his innocence and claimed the case aimed to damage his reputation before the upcoming election. 

The sentencing comes just ten days before his inauguration as the 47th president. Prosecutor Joshua Steinglass stated Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts yet recommended no prison time due to the unique circumstances. 

Trump's attorney criticized the prosecution, asserting the case was politically motivated. "It’s a very sad day," Blanche commented, emphasizing their plans to appeal the verdict.
